Receiving Distribution Technician

1st Shift, Monday-Friday (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM)

PR: $17-$19/hr

Duration: 2 months - possibility to convert perm

Job Description:

A major healthcare system is seeking a Receiving Distribution Technician to support daily warehouse and distribution operations within its healthcare supply chain environment. This individual will be responsible for receiving inbound shipments, operating powered industrial equipment, transporting materials throughout the distribution center, and accurately stocking inventory in designated locations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating Raymond equipment in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Candidates with healthcare distribution center experience are highly preferred.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
• Operate Raymond material handling equipment to transport products throughout the warehouse
• Perform put-away activities by stocking inventory in designated storage locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper product placement
• Utilize warehouse systems and handheld scanners to track inventory movement
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse operating standards
• Assist with general distribution center and inventory management activities as needed

Must-Haves:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year working in a warehouse, distribution, receiving, or inventory environment
• Experience performing receiving and put-away functions in a warehouse environment
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, or similar material handling equipment
• Comfortable driving Raymond equipment (certification can be provided on-site)
• Ability to lift, move, and transport materials throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Plusses:

• Current forklift certification (huge plus!)
• Previous Raymond equipment operating experience
• Healthcare distribution center or healthcare supply chain experience
• Experience using inventory management systems, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Prior experience supporting medical supplies, hospital inventory, or healthcare logistics operations
