RN Educator

JOB DESCRIPTION

ABI Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Educator to support the development and training of clinical staff across its home care network. This role plays a critical part in onboarding, mentoring, evaluating, and educating nursing staff while utilizing clinical outcomes and quality data to drive training initiatives.

The RN Educator will primarily work from the Flushing office but will occasionally accompany RNs in the field to conduct training, mentorship, supervision, and competency evaluations. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing clinicians, improving patient outcomes, and building high-performing home care teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead orientation and onboarding programs for newly hired RNs
• Conduct field training and mentorship for nursing staff
• Develop and deliver quarterly and annual clinical education programs
• Analyze quality metrics including hospitalizations, rehospitalizations, falls, and other clinical indicators
• Identify trends and gaps in care to create targeted educational initiatives
• Assess nursing competencies and evaluate training effectiveness
• Conduct annual in-home supervision visits
• Develop and facilitate monthly training sessions for Care Coordinators
• Partner with internal teams to update training materials and educational resources
• Present findings and recommendations during QA and CQI meetings
• Support regulatory compliance and best-practice education initiatives
• Continuously refine training programs using clinical outcomes data

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Home Care experience within a LHCSA, CHHA, or MLTC environment
• Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese
• Strong clinical and home care knowledge
• Experience conducting field training and mentoring clinical staff
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to analyze clinical data and identify trends
• Experience working independently and collaboratively
