Sterile Processing Technician (SPD Tech) – Full-Time Outpatient Surgery Center | Mississippi Gulf Coast

Pay: $20–$24 per hour | Weekly Pay | Monday–Friday

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join a busy Outpatient Surgery Center where you'll play a vital role in ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of the sterilization process, including instrument decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage.
• Work closely with the Operating Room (OR) team to ensure sterile instruments and supplies are available for scheduled surgical procedures.
• Review daily surgery schedules to anticipate general, specialty, and case-specific instrument needs.
• Assist with cleaning and preparing operating rooms between surgical cases.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support a safe, organized, and efficient sterile processing department while maintaining high standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or current Sterile Processing certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of Sterile Processing Technician experience required.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Current Hands-on BLS Certification.
• Current TB test.
• Reliable, dependable, and personable with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
