The Clerical Assistant 3 position with the Department of Human Services (DHS) in the Bureau of Program Integrity offers an exciting chance to support important statewide programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides important clerical support to the Division of Third Party Liability by reviewing incoming requests, researching information, and helping maintain accurate case records. The work supports proper handling of casualty, estate, and related program activities that rely on organized information flow. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Request Screening: Review correspondence for completeness, urgency, and accuracy across multiple formats
- Information Research: Analyze data in various systems to retrieve case details and apply program requirements, policies, and regulations
- Case Communication: Correspond with attorneys, recipients, insurance companies, and other entities to gather information and respond to inquiries
- Case Preparation: Determine case type, prepare recovery or casualty letters, and ready documents for scanning and assignment
- Record Maintenance: Pull, file, and organize folders in the file room, purge old files, and maintain scanning equipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
