Construction Project Manager

Glenn Grayson Home Builders is seeking an experienced, motivated Project Manager to join our team. We specialize in high-end custom residential construction and are looking for someone who takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship, organization, communication, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

The Project Manager will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through completion, coordinating subcontractors, schedules, quality, and client communication to ensure each home is delivered to our standards.

Key Responsibilities

● Take ownership of and positively impact the customer experience throughout the construction process.

● Manage the day-to-day construction and execution of assigned custom homes.

● Manage and coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure each phase of construction is completed correctly, efficiently, and on schedule.

● Develop, maintain, and actively manage construction schedules and upcoming work.

● Conduct regular quality-control inspections throughout the build of each home.

● Identify workmanship issues early and ensure corrections are completed before subsequent phases begin.

● Maintain a high standard of fit, finish, cleanliness, and craftsmanship appropriate for luxury custom homes.

● Review plans, specifications, selections, and construction details to ensure work is completed according to project requirements.

● Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractor sequencing, inspections, and jobsite activities.

● Communicate proactively with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, designers, architects, and the internal construction team.

● Anticipate potential scheduling, construction, or design conflicts and work proactively to resolve them.

● Track project progress and help ensure construction remains aligned with established budgets and schedules.

● Conduct regular jobsite meetings and follow up on outstanding action items.

● Maintain organized project documentation, including photos, change information, schedules, and field notes.

● Coordinate municipal and third-party inspections as required.

● Manage punch-list completion and prepare homes for final walkthrough and turnover.

● Help ensure jobsites remain professional, organized, clean, and safe throughout construction.

● Hold subcontractors accountable for quality, schedule, communication, and completion of work.

Qualifications

● 3+ years of experience in residential construction, project management, construction supervision, or a related field preferred.

● Experience with custom or high-end residential construction strongly preferred.

● Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, plans, and specifications.

● Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.

● Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Detail-oriented with a strong eye for quality and craftsmanship.

● Comfortable holding subcontractors accountable while maintaining strong trade relationships.

● Ability to identify problems in the field and develop practical solutions.

● Self-motivated and capable of taking ownership of projects.

● Comfortable using construction management software, email, smartphones, and digital project documentation.

● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
