Accounting Manager

Position Summary

Arreis Construction Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, job costing, and project financial controls. This position will work closely with the CEO and controller to maintain accurate financial records and provide visibility into cash flow and project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Manage the company’s accounting software and monthly financial close.
• Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
• Manage construction job costing, project budgets, committed costs, and profitability.
• Monitor AR aging, collections, vendor payments, and expense coding.
• Review contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and billing for financial accuracy.
• Ensure contract terms align with project budgets and job-cost structures.
• Resolve billing and contract discrepancies with subcontractors and vendors.
• Track equipment and fixed assets.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
• Coordinate with outside CPAs for year-end reporting and compliance.
• Provide leadership with regular financial and project-performance reports.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or a project-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience with project billing, pay applications, retainage, and change orders.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information and communicate effectively with leadership, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.
