Architectural BIM Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

• Support commercial projects through accurate Revit modeling and construction-document production.

• Translate markups, redlines, sketches, and design direction into coordinated architectural documentation.

• Complete assigned production tasks accurately with limited day-to-day supervision.

POSITION PROFILE

• Experience: 2-5 years of professional architectural/BIM experience.

• Project Type: Commercial architecture experience required.

• Primary Focus: BIM production, construction documents, and drawing coordination.

• Core Tools: Strong Autodesk Revit and Bluebeam Revu skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, update, and maintain architectural BIM models in Autodesk Revit.

• Produce floor plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, enlarged plans, schedules, and architectural details.

• Incorporate Project Manager and Job Captain markups and redlines accurately into the model and drawing set.

• Use Bluebeam Revu for redlines, overlays, drawing review, coordination, and QA/QC.

• Document wall assemblies, openings, ceilings, doors, equipment interfaces, and light -gauge/cold-formed steel framing conditions.

• Coordinate architectural documentation with structural, MEP, interior design, and consultant information.

• Identify conflicts, dimensional discrepancies, and constructability issues and communicate them to project leadership.

• Maintain model organization, sheet consistency, annotation standards, and company BIM standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, BIM, Construction Technology, or a related field pr eferred.

• 2-5 years of recent professional architectural/BIM experience with commercial projects.

• Experience producing construction documents and documenting light -gauge/cold-formed steel framing systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit for architectural modeling and documentation.

• Strong proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markups, overlays, drawing review, and coordination.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and consultant drawings.

• Working knowledge of commercial construction assemblies, wall systems, ceilings, openings, and architectural details.

• Strong attention to detail, dimensional accuracy, organization, and document consistency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• AutoCAD experience.

• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) or similar cloud-based BIM environments.

• Experience working in large or complex commercial Revit models.
