This position plays an important role in supporting daily meal preparation while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients for breakfast and lunch service, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning food items
- Assist with meal preparation according to recipes and cafeteria guidelines
- Support cooks and kitchen staff during food production and service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Properly store food products and supplies following food safety regulations
- Restock food, utensils, and kitchen supplies as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all school, health, and safety procedures
- Assist with kitchen cleanup and end-of-day duties
- Help ensure students receive quality meals in a timely manner
- Previous food preparation, cafeteria, kitchen, or prep cook experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and carry supplies as required
