School Registered Nurse | Fremont, California

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a qualified Registered Nurse to support an elementary student in a 1:1 setting. This role is ideal for an RN who is dedicated to providing specialized care in a school environment and has experience with seizure management. The position is located near Fremont, CA, and includes accompanying the student on their daily bus ride to and from school.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active RN license in California
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
• Proven ability to manage seizures and respond effectively to related emergencies
• Experience providing individualized care in a 1:1 health support role preferred
• Comfortable riding on the school bus with the student to ensure safety and continuity of care
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent, individualized nursing care to an elementary-aged student during school hours
• Monitor for seizure activity and follow established protocols, administering medication/interventions as needed
• Maintain meticulous, up-to-date documentation of care and any health incidents
• Collaborate closely with the student’s educational and health team to support their success and well-being
• Accompany the student on their bus ride daily, ensuring a safe and health-focused transportation experience
• Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding any concerns or updates related to the student’s health
