Special Education Teacher - San Jose, California

Qualifications:

• California Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Adaptability, patience, and a student-centered mindset
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lessons and interventions for students with diverse learning needs
• Assess student progress and update IEP goals, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and specialists to support inclusive learning environments
• Communicate regularly with families to share student progress and resources
• Foster an encouraging, safe, and structured classroom atmosphere
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and staff activities as needed
