Special Education Teacher - Oral, SD

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dedicated on-site Special Education setting. This full-time position runs Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the added benefit of Fridays off—offering an ideal work-life balance.

You will work with a caseload of 10-11 students, each with a variety of needs including intellectual disabilities, OHI, emotional and behavioral disorders, specific learning disabilities, and a few students requiring significant behavioral support. Your expertise will help shape a supportive, engaging, and learning-rich environment. Preference is given to those with PreK certification, though elementary certification is warmly welcomed.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (PreK preferred; elementary also considered)
• Experience with a range of disabilities including high behavioral needs
• Passion for individualized instruction and student progress
• Strong collaborative skills for teaming with paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Commitment to a fully onsite schedule

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans to meet diverse learner needs
• Manage a caseload of 10-11 students with a spectrum of disabilities
• Employ effective classroom management, particularly with high behavioral needs
• Partner with families, aides, and faculty to support each student's goals
• Collect progress data for ongoing assessments and reporting
