Special Education Teacher | Fort Jones, California

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credential for California
• Proven experience working with students identified with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and evaluation
• Ability to provide differentiated instruction and interventions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Comfortable with adaptable work settings (on-site with potential VOCO)
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to inclusive education

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications as indicated in IEPs
• Assess students’ academic and behavioral progress and adjust strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records, track progress, and complete required documentation
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities
