Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
• Prior paraprofessional or classroom support experience preferred
• EIPA certification is not required for this role
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to varied environments and student needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students who communicate using ASL
• Assist with classroom and after-school activities, ensuring students are engaged and included
• Work closely with teachers and staff to implement academic and social supports
• Foster a positive learning experience for students needing ASL assistance
• Move between various school locations as needed within the scheduled hours

Role Details:

• Afternoon shift: 2:30-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Commitment of 20-24 hours per week within a consistent after-school schedule
• Assignments take place at multiple sites, offering variety and opportunity to impact different student groups
