Special Education Teacher | Schertz, Texas

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students within K-8th grade inclusion classrooms. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21, 2027. You'll work with approximately 24 students, fostering growth, providing tailored interventions, and collaborating closely with a team of dedicated educators. The school requires a Texas Certified Special Education Teacher who is ready to make a daily difference and is able to commute to the San Antonio area.

What you'll bring:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
• Experience with K-8th grade inclusion settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to implement IEPs and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students in inclusion classes
• Support students academically, socially, and emotionally in accordance with their IEPs
• Develop and adapt instructional materials and activities
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports
• Communicate regularly with families and staff to celebrate successes and address challenges
