Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) - 1:1 Student Support

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a full-time, onsite school-based opportunity. This position will provide 1:1 interpreting support for a 3rd-grade student, with onsite services required due to the student’s age and individual needs. The ideal candidate will have the appropriate VQAS level and EIPA qualifications.

Position Details

• Full-time position

• ASAP start

• 1:1 support for a 3rd-grade student

• Onsite required

• School-based setting

• Student age requires in-person support

Responsibilities

• Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation for the assigned student

• Support communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers

• Facilitate the student’s access to classroom instruction and activities

• Collaborate with school staff to support the student’s communication needs

• Maintain professional standards and confidentiality

Qualifications & Experience

• VQAS Level 3 or higher required

• 3.5 EIPA score required

• Written EIPA section must be passed

• Experience working with school-age students preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Work Hours & Industry

• Full-time

• Monday–Friday, school-day schedule

• School-based / Education setting

• Onsite assignment
