Job Description
Take the next step in your professional journey supporting K-12 students in an educational environment dedicated to positive change. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to a specialized Setting 4 program, focusing on individualized student support within a collaborative team of paraprofessionals.
In this position, you'll have a structured Monday through Friday schedule working from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, engaging with students across all grade levels. As you make a real difference in the lives of young learners, your expertise and commitment will directly influence their growth and success. After 422 hours as a contractor, you'll have the opportunity for direct hire with the school district.
Qualifications:
- Must be Highly Qualified as a paraprofessional by one of the following:
- Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Educator Exam (provide passing score)
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (transcripts required; diploma or degree not sufficient)
- Experience supporting K-12 students, particularly in special education or behavioral support settings, preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Resume and Highly Qualified documentation must be submitted for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to deliver individualized support for students within a Setting 4 program
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior strategies as directed by classroom teachers and specialists
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students
- Track progress and provide feedback regarding student development and needs
