Special Education Teacher - Converse, TX

Key Qualifications:

• Current Texas Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
• Experience or strong interest in working within K-8th grade inclusion settings
• Ability to foster a supportive and structured learning environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with general educators and support staff
• Dedication to modifying curriculum and instruction to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and academic support to students within the inclusion model
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement IEPs and effective accommodations
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
• Liaise regularly with families and support staff to ensure student success
• Contribute to the overall classroom environment through positive behavior supports and inclusive practices
