Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting a young learner as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter on a contract basis. This full-time role runs from September 10th, 2026, through May 26th, 2027, and is located at an elementary school near Woodstock, GA. You’ll work closely in a 1:1 setting with a fifth-grade student in a general education classroom, making a meaningful impact on his educational journey each day.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Sign Language Interpreter certification (GaPSC SLI Educator Certification required)
  • Required: Ability to obtain district fingerprint clearance
  • Preferred: Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in a school setting
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a passion for accessible education
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with educational staff

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 sign language interpretation for a fifth-grade student within the general education setting
  • Facilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers
  • Support the student’s full participation in classroom activities and school routines
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other support staff to ensure instructional access

This contract position follows a school-day schedule from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm (Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week), allowing for a work-life balance in a supportive school environment.
