Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students in a school-based setting near Eagle Point, OR. This contract position allows you to make a significant impact on students’ growth and daily functioning, collaborating alongside educational professionals and families. You’ll work with a diverse caseload while using your expertise to foster independence and participation in school environments.
Start date is immediate, and the position runs through June 17, 2027. You’ll enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Active Oregon COTA license (required)
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification is mandatory
- Experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Skilled in providing occupational therapy interventions for K-12 students
- Strong communication, adaptability, and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized occupational therapy plans for students in the K-12 age range
- Support students in developing motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive strategies for classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students’ academic and personal growth
- Document progress, maintain accurate case records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Adjust therapy approaches as needed to reflect students’ evolving needs
