Compensation: $110,000–$115,000 Base + 10% Bonus Target
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday In Office | Monday & Friday Flexible/Remote

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing, private equity-backed organization in the Boise area to hire a Tax Manager / Senior Tax Analyst to join its corporate accounting and finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong tax professional who wants to move beyond a narrowly defined role and gain broad ownership, visibility, and exposure to complex transactions. The organization has recently completed several acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate transactions, creating a dynamic environment where the tax function plays an important strategic role.

The tax team is intentionally lean, and this individual will become a key internal tax resource while partnering closely with Corporate Accounting, Finance, FP&A, Legal, senior leadership, and external tax advisors.

They are open to someone ready to step up and grow into greater ownership — technical ability is important, but personality, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate are equally critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and support income tax provision and ASC 740 processes.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, including Big 4 and specialty providers.
• Oversee outsourced federal and state tax compliance activities.
• Coordinate sales & use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax matters.
• Support tax initiatives related to M&A, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructuring.
• Perform tax research and prepare supporting technical documentation.
• Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate tax processes.
• Support tax audits and examinations.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's tax structure and gradually assume greater ownership of the overall tax function.

Ideal Background

• Public accounting experience required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Big 4 experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and income tax provision accounting.
• Experience working with and managing external tax advisors.
• Ability to independently manage projects and priorities with limited oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant tax experience preferred.

Additional experience within a PE-backed, acquisitive, or high-growth organization is highly desirable, particularly exposure to M&A due diligence, tax structuring, integrations, sales & use tax, or property tax.

Location & Schedule

This position follows a hybrid schedule in the Boise/Eagle, Idaho area, with employees typically in the office Tuesday through Thursday and flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday.
