Classroom Assistant | Andover, Minnesota

An opportunity is available for an experienced paraprofessional to support a middle school resource classroom in a contract role for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers direct involvement in fostering a supportive learning environment and the chance to make a lasting impact on students’ daily academic and social experience.

Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school setting
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Plus one of the following:
  • A minimum of two years of college credits (approximately 60 semester credits) from an accredited institution
  • An associate degree or higher
  • A passing score on an approved basic skills test: ParaPro Assessment (455 or above) or ParaEducator assessments (65% on Instructional Support and 70% on Knowledge and Application)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct classroom support in a middle school resource setting
• Assist certified staff in delivering instruction and reinforcing lessons
• Support individualized learning and small group activities based on student needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers and related service providers to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Help maintain a positive and structured environment
• Foster students’ independence and advocate for their success

Role Details:

• 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday (7:15 AM – 2:15 PM)
• Immediate start through May 26, 2027
