Occupational Therapist School Setting in Ruston, LA

A school district in Louisiana is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide support across multiple grade levels for a short-term contract, starting as soon as possible. This position focuses on performing re-evaluations, PreK assessments on Fridays, and, most importantly, providing supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana
• Previous school-based OT experience (preferred)
• Familiarity conducting re-evaluations and PreK/elementary assessments
• Ability to supervise and provide direction to a COTA
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Comfortable with virtual service delivery platforms
• Available to start ASAP and commit for one or two months

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete re-evaluations for students across grade levels
• Conduct PreK evaluations each Friday
• Directly supervise a COTA, ensuring compliance and quality care
• Maintain thorough documentation and timely communication with staff and families
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
