Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker (required)
- Prior experience supporting students in elementary and preschool settings preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services to students, addressing academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies and individualized plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student development and provide crisis interventions as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress records in accordance with school policies
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to promote holistic student success
