Ignite your passion for supporting students as a specialized ASL paraprofessional in a dynamic after-school environment! This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and youth by providing essential communication and instructional assistance at various educational sites. Working from 2:30-6:00 PM each day, you’ll play a key role in facilitating inclusion and fostering confidence among students who benefit from sign language skills.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting as a paraprofessional or instructional aide is highly valued
  • EIPA certification is not a requirement for this position
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as needed
  • Ability to create a positive, supportive, and patient environment for learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students during after-school programming, promoting comprehension and engagement through ASL
  • Collaborate with certified staff to deliver lesson content and activities effectively
  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere where every student feels understood and empowered
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support, adapting communication strategies to meet varying needs
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude at all times

This role offers the chance to work approximately 20–24 hours per week, making a positive impact without the constraints of a traditional full-time schedule.
