Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in New York
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric caseloads preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for collaboration with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals specific to occupational therapy needs
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a compassionate approach with students of varying abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12th grade students
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Support students’ functional independence and participation in the classroom environment
  • Adapt activities and materials to accommodate varying student needs
