Special Education Teacher - Buffalo Gap, South Dakota

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification; PreK certification preferred, but elementary credentials considered
• Experience working with a range of disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability and willingness to be onsite, working hands-on with students and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs and strengths
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Develop classroom strategies to promote academic progress, social-emotional growth, and behavioral management
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation as required
