This rewarding paraprofessional opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with educators and work one-on-one or in small groups with students, making each day meaningful. The contract runs through the 2026-2027 school year, offering reliability and the chance to build strong connections within the school community.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of one year’s experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following:
- At least two years of college credits (60 semester credits) from an accredited institution, or
- An associate degree or higher, or
- A passing score on an approved basic skills test (such as ParaPro Assessment: 455 or higher, or ParaEducator: 65% on Instructional Support and 70% on Knowledge and Application)
- Enthusiasm for helping middle school students achieve classroom success
- Collaborative, flexible attitude and strong communication skills
Key responsibilities:
- Support certified educators in delivering instruction in a middle school resource classroom
- Assist students with assignments, individual education plans, and classroom engagement
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Implement individualized strategies for student motivation and behavioral support
- Maintain accurate records and facilitate effective communication between students, families, and staff
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM, allowing for a stable weekday schedule. The location offers a welcoming school atmosphere and the chance to positively influence the academic journey of students.
