This position focuses on a TK/K/1st grade caseload with a maximum of 12 students and the support of three dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom. Key Qualifications:

• Current and active California Moderate/Severe Special Education Teaching Credential (Mod/Severe) is required
• Experience working with early elementary students in a special education setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with classroom staff and related service providers
• Ability to create and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs

Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support students with moderate to severe disabilities, tailoring curriculum and strategies to promote growth
• Develop individualized lesson plans and implement accommodations to maximize student learning and participation
• Oversee and collaborate with three paraprofessionals within the classroom
• Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings, working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
