Key Requirements:

• Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit is mandatory; applicants with permits pending must provide a DEEDS portal screenshot alongside their resume.
• Experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in a school environment, is highly valued.
• Willingness to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting (required prior to submission).
• Candidates with an RBT credential must arrange for their own BCBA supervision outside of school hours should they wish to maintain certification.
• Strong communication, reliability, and adaptability to diverse student needs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, in-class adult support for students at the elementary level, primarily at Mount Pleasant Elementary.
• Foster a positive learning environment by assisting teachers, helping implement educational plans, and addressing the unique learning requirements of each child.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a supportive and safe environment for student learning and growth.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.

This contract role runs from ASAP through June 8th, 2027, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch daily).
