Job Description
Step into a role focused on early childhood speech-language pathology, providing essential long-term substitute coverage for young learners. This contract opportunity is perfect for passionate professionals eager to make a positive impact on early intervention for children ages 3-5. The assignment is scheduled to begin in September and will run through the end of November, offering a flexible part-time schedule—three days a week, totaling 22.5 hours. You’ll work on-site, supporting a dedicated caseload within the ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license (MN SLP) required
- Experience with early childhood populations, particularly ages 3-5, strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the needs and goals of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, caregivers, and educators
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and developmental environment for young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evaluation, direct therapy, and consultative services to early childhood caseloads
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Document progress and communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators
- Assist in assessments, data collection, and participation in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
