We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to perform clinical laboratory testing, analyze patient specimens, maintain quality standards, and support accurate and timely diagnostic results in an acute care hospital laboratory.

Responsibilities

- Prepare patient samples and perform laboratory testing according to standardized procedures
- Collect and analyze blood and other bodily fluids for abnormalities
- Perform blood testing and transfusion-related laboratory procedures
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively
- Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits
- Document and report laboratory findings according to organizational standards
- Perform automated testing using computerized instruments
- Conduct Quality Assurance activities to ensure reliable results
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education
- Maintain accurate documentation and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Medical Laboratory Science required
At least 1 year of experience in an acute care/clinical laboratory required
- 2+ years of acute care laboratory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory quality standards
- Ability to work varied shifts
