Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active certification and credentials as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
  • Previous experience with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting
  • Ability to adapt instructional techniques to meet individual student needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and educational support to one student within a single building
  • Collaborate with special education teams and family members to create and implement customized learning plans
  • Utilize adaptive materials and assistive technologies to optimize the student’s learning experience
  • Maintain progress records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
