Key Details:

• Full-time, 40 hours weekly (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm)
• Contract runs through May 21
• Caseload of 10 students within a third-grade special education classroom
• General education curriculum focus

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in a special education setting
• Strong grasp of developing and implementing IEPs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with the general education curriculum, modified for individual student needs
• Maintain and monitor individualized education plans for each student
• Build positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Track and report student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Create an environment that encourages student participation, growth, and independence
