Job Description
We are looking for a Shipping Administrator to support daily logistics operations for a machinery manufacturing environment in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position will run through the end of the year and is well suited for someone who can keep shipping activities organized, accurate, and on schedule. The person in this role will help coordinate outbound and inbound shipments, maintain documentation, and work closely with internal teams to ensure materials move efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily shipment processing to ensure outbound orders are prepared, documented, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Manage receiving activities by verifying incoming materials, recording deliveries, and resolving discrepancies with appropriate teams.
• Prepare and maintain shipping paperwork, carrier records, and inventory-related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Communicate with warehouse staff, carriers, and internal departments to keep freight movement aligned with operational priorities.
• Monitor shipment status and respond to delivery issues, delays, or exceptions in a timely and thorough manner.
• Support logistics tracking and reporting by updating shipping data in internal systems and maintaining organized records.
• Help uphold site security and controlled shipping practices by following established procedures for material handling and access.
• Assist with process updates or system-related shipping changes as needed while maintaining continuity in day-to-day operations.• Experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, or transportation coordination roles.
• Working knowledge of shipping documentation, freight handling, and general warehouse support processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable using computer systems to enter, track, and update shipment information.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with carriers, operations teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of workplace safety, material control, and secure handling procedures.
• Ability to work independently and remain organized in a fast-paced manufacturing or logistics environment.
