\nUPMC Shadyside is seeking an experienced Interventional Technologist Advanced (Multi-Skill) to join our highly skilled and collaborative Interventional Radiology team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading physicians, utilize advanced technology, and play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care.
\nSchedule & Team Structure

- Four 10-hour shifts: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM \n
- Overnight on-call responsibilities \n
- Rotating weekends and holidays \n
- Team of 8 technologists, with 2 technologists on call each night \n
\n
What You'll Do:
\nAs an Advanced Interventional Technologist, you'll serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert while supporting quality, safety, and operational excellence across the department. Responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- Partnering with system-wide workgroups to support standardization initiatives and best practices \n
- Assisting with fluoroscopy time monitoring, medical editing requests, and annual lead apron compliance reviews \n
- Demonstrating advanced knowledge of IR supplies, equipment, and procedural support \n
- Supporting quality assurance activities, regulatory testing, research, and technical initiatives \n
- Collaborating directly with Radiologists on protocol development and optimization \n
- Mentoring and training technologists, new staff, and students \n
- Functioning independently while supporting off-shift coverage, on-call responsibilities, and satellite locations as needed \n
- Performing all responsibilities of an Interventional Radiology Technologist I while serving as an advanced clinical resource \n

- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology required. \n
- 2 years of experience required in primary specialty. \n
- Must hold registry in each specialty. \n
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\n \n - Must maintain 2 imaging registries/certifications and maintain competency in both as required by hiring Business Unit. \n
- Must be willing and demonstrate flexibility to be assigned to any of the maintained registries by leadership. \n
- Must provide flexibility to work least one off-shift (evening, nights or weekend), every 90 days as requested by imaging leadership. \n
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. \n
- Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent. \n
- ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) \n
- Act 34 \n
