Forklift Operator - Now Hiring

Our client, a leading organization in the lumber and manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join their team. As a 1st Shift Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations supporting the logistics and material handling teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to safety, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Athens, AL

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM until finish (typically 10–12 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

• Operate a forklift to transport lumber and materials throughout the yard and warehouse
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Stack and organize lumber products in designated areas
• Inspect materials for quality and report any damages
• Perform basic forklift inspections and follow safety procedures at all times

What's Needed?

• Previous forklift operating experience required (manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred)
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work extended hours and perform physically demanding tasks
• Must have good attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
