Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience for a hospital-based interventional radiology unit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department setting
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
- Call requirement includes one primary and one backup weekday per month, plus one weekend every 6 weeks alternating between primary and backup
- Uses Siemens imaging equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
- Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Proficient in operating Siemens imaging equipment
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Skills should include venous access, central line care, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and related vascular/GU procedures
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted
Additional Information
- Perform interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and vascular/genitourinary interventions
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures
- First-time travelers not accepted for this role due to required prior IR experience
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible to return as travelers after 6 months away from the facility
- Current employees of this health system are ineligible for travel assignments at this location
- RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
