Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care assignment, requiring MA state licensure and prior LTC or Rehab experience.
Details
- Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting
- Physical Therapy unit
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly worked hours
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required; new grads considered with Level II clinical experience
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- MA state license required if applicable
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient progress and evidence-based practice
- Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation training, and use of assistive devices
- Provides consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Documents treatment and discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical standards
- Supervises physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
- Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
- Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts
- No more than 7 days of requested RTO
