Speech Language Pathologist

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | 40 hours/week | On-call every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM) for NPO orders only
Key Responsibilities- Provide speech-language pathology services in both outpatient and acute care settings, with approximately 90% of time spent in outpatient
- Manage a mixed outpatient caseload consisting of approximately 70% pediatric and 30% adult patients
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) as part of outpatient responsibilities
- Provide acute care services for adult patients, requiring proficiency in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS)
- Participate in on-call rotation every 3rd weekend for acute care NPO order coverage
- Active North Carolina (NC) Speech Language Pathologist license
- Proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Proficiency in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS)
- Experience working with both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates within 50–80 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Recent professional reference required for submission
- Prior experience in a combined outpatient and acute care SLP role
- Strong pediatric caseload experience, particularly in outpatient settings
- Familiarity with NPO order management in an acute care environment
- Expected 40 hours per week with a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule in a well-defined dual-setting role
