About the Facility
Escape the big-city grind and take your skills to a welcoming Critical Access Hospital in scenic western Wisconsin, where you'll enjoy a unique blend of CT and X-Ray responsibilities in a low-volume, patient-focused environment. This 13-week contract offers four night shifts per week, giving you more days off to explore the area's stunning bluffs, lakes, hiking trails, and Mississippi River views. You'll gain valuable experience performing a variety of exams, including stroke workups, trauma imaging, CT heads, CTA studies, and CT abdomen/pelvis scans. The facility is looking for a flexible technologist who enjoys working independently and making a direct impact on patient care. With a supportive team and a lower caseload that allows you to focus on quality over quantity, this is an excellent opportunity to broaden your skills. If you're looking for autonomy, variety, and a beautiful location, this assignment has it all.
About Critical Access Hospitals
Working at a Critical Access Hospital gives technologists the opportunity to develop a broader skill set by performing a variety of imaging exams and working across multiple modalities. These facilities often provide greater autonomy, allowing techs to strengthen their clinical judgment and operate with more independence than in larger health systems. You'll collaborate closely with providers and other departments while caring for a diverse patient population in a community-focused environment. Critical Access experience is highly valued by employers because it demonstrates versatility, adaptability, and the ability to confidently manage a wide range of imaging responsibilities.
