2nd Shift 3D Image Surgery Technician

18-Month+ Contract-to-Hire
2nd Shift | 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM | Overtime Required


Our client, a global leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a 2nd Shift 3D Image Surgery Technician to support the development of patient-specific 3D anatomical models and pre-operative surgical plans used in robotic-assisted procedures.


This is a highly detail-oriented, computer-based role that converts 2D CT scans into 3D anatomical models used to support robotic-assisted knee, hip, shoulder, and other surgical procedures. The 2nd Shift 3D Image Surgery Technician will work within established processes and quality standards while meeting individual and team production goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Review CT scans for quality and conformity to established surgical imaging protocols.
  • Segment CT scan data using specialized software to create 3D anatomical bone models for robotic-assisted surgery.
  • Develop pre-operative surgical plans using patient-specific digital bone models.
  • Support planning for procedures including total hip and total knee replacement.
  • Review 3D segmentations and surgical plans for accuracy, including anatomical landmarks, implant sizing, and positioning.
  • Create and manage cases within a proprietary case management system.
  • Upload completed surgical plans for use by field-based personnel.
  • Document activities according to established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate and consistent output.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.


What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional work experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive computer-based work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

  • Radiology or medical imaging, including CT, X-Ray, or MRI.
  • Nursing or another healthcare-related field.
  • College-level coursework in Anatomy.
  • 3D medical imaging or image segmentation.
  • Materialise MIMICS, Salesforce, or Adobe Photoshop.
  • Medical device or other regulated environments.
  • Customer service or other detail-oriented professional environments.
