Facility & Unit Information:
- Outpatient Physical Therapy setting within a Primary Care Clinic
- Traveler will work only in Physical Therapy, not in the primary care clinic
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
- Department consists of:
- 2 Physical Therapists
- 1 PTA, who serves as the clinic supervisor
- Rehab office coordinator schedules initial evaluations
- PTs schedule patient follow-up visits
Patient Types & Diagnoses:
- Primarily adult patients
- School-aged children with non-pediatric developmental diagnoses
- Post-orthopedic surgery
- Post-spinal surgery
- Geriatric patients
- Work injuries
- Neurological imbalance
- Outpatient PT coverage
- Single-patient care model
- 60-minute evaluations
- 45-minute treatment sessions
- Average 8–10 patients per day, subject to change
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient Physical Therapy experience
- Maine State PT License
- BLS
- Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or higher
- Strong outpatient PT experience
- Manual Therapy
- Exercise Science
- Patient education
- Education regarding adaptive equipment, including walkers, canes, crutches, etc.
EMR:
- Cerner
Floating:
- May float to Northern Light CA Dean Hospital in Greenville, approximately 30 minutes away
- Floating may be required to assist with outpatient or inpatient PT needs
- Inpatient coverage is rare
- Advance notice will be provided if floating is needed
Orientation:
- NEO
- 2–3 days of department-specific orientation, depending on skillset and comfort level
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 40 Hours/Week
- No Weekend Rotation
- No Call Required
- RTO requires Manager Approval
Holiday Expectations
The Rehab Department is closed on these 6 major holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Traveler is expected to work all other holidays as scheduled.
