Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care position requiring 1+ years of experience and prior LTC or rehab setting experience.
Details
- Long term care (LTC) setting focused on cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
- 13-week assignment
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
- 1+ years of OT experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- New grads considered if they completed a Level II fieldwork experience
- Resume required for consideration
- Skills checklist within 1 year required for consideration
- 1 reference required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
- Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Document all clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
- Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
- Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
- No more than 7 days of RTO can be requested
