Painter

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Material preparation - masking, blowing, sanding and preparing components
• Painting - selecting and mixing paints, operating painting equipment including pumps and guns
• Abrasive blasting - occasionally operating abrasive blasting equipment to prepare components for paint
• Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details
• Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises
• Train new employees in painting/preparation operations as required
• Complete and maintain various records and documentation
• Demonstrate the capability to work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems
• All other duties as assigned
