Plumber's Apprentice--Se Habla Espanol

Want to learn a trade that pays? PMC is a locally owned plumbing contractor in Fuquay-Varina with a full schedule of new homes booked with repeat builders across the Triangle. We are hiring plumbing helpers to work alongside our experienced plumbers on new construction - custom homes, builder lots, townhomes and multi-family in Raleigh, Holly Springs, Apex, Cary, Wake Forest and Chapel Hill.

No plumbing experience required. We will train you. If you have worked construction, another trade, maintenance, landscaping, or any job where you used your hands and showed up every day, we want to talk to you. Steady, year-round work, Monday through Friday. No service calls. No on-call.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Work with a plumber on slab, rough-in and trim-out crews and learn each phase of plumbing a new house

- Carry and stage pipe, fittings and fixtures; keep the crew supplied and the job site clean

- Cut and prep PVC, PEX and CPVC; drill and notch under a plumber's direction

- Dig and backfill sewer and water lines by hand and with equipment as you learn

- Load and unload the truck; keep tools and material organized

- Learn to read plans and take on more as you earn it

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Valid driver's license - required

- Authorized to work in the United States - required

- Construction, trade, maintenance or similar hands-on work experience preferred

- Able to lift 75 lbs, work outdoors in all seasons, and be on your feet all day

- Reliable transportation - we start each day on the job site

- Show up on time, work safe, listen, and want to learn

LO QUE VA A HACER

- Trabajar con un plomero en cuadrillas de losa (slab), rough-in y trim y aprender cada fase de la plomería de una casa nueva

- Cargar y acomodar tubería, conexiones y accesorios; mantener la cuadrilla abastecida y la obra limpia

- Cortar y preparar PVC, PEX y CPVC; taladrar y hacer muescas bajo la dirección de un plomero

- Excavar y rellenar líneas de agua y drenaje a mano y con equipo conforme vaya aprendiendo

- Cargar y descargar la troca; mantener herramientas y material en orden

- Aprender a leer planos y asumir más responsabilidad conforme se la gane

LO QUE BUSCAMOS

- Licencia de conducir vigente - requisito

- Autorización para trabajar en los Estados Unidos - requisito

- Se prefiere experiencia en construcción, algún oficio, mantenimiento o trabajo similar con las manos

- Poder levantar 75 libras, trabajar al aire libre en todas las temporadas y estar de pie todo el día

- Transporte confiable - empezamos cada día en la obra

- Llegar a tiempo, trabajar seguro, escuchar y tener ganas de aprender
