Torch Cutter

The Burners are responsible for processing heavy steel materials in the iron pile by cutting them into smaller, manageable pieces for further processing or shipment. This role involves using oxy-fuel cutting torches and other equipment to ensure that large steel structures are reduced to appropriate sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate oxy-fuel cutting torches and other metal cutting equipment
• Cut large steel structures into specified sizes for processing or shipment
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of cutting gases and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the iron pile area
• Separate non-ferrous materials from the iron pile and place them in designated containers
• Assist crane operators in moving and positioning heavy steel materials for cutting
• Perform routine maintenance checks on cutting equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
