Speech Language Pathologist Shift Details

Shift starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm. The incumbent is required to work one weekend every month, providing care within an inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
• NYS licensure
• Clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)
• Completion of clinical fellowship year
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer evaluations to diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and/or swallowing disorders.
• Schedule patients for evaluations and treatments based on their needs.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing.
• Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline and related departments.
