The Human Services Program Representative 1 position with the Department of Human Services (DHS) offers a meaningful opportunity to support children, families, and agencies across the state. DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position supports statewide practice by providing consultation, guidance, and evaluation of services delivered by public and private children and youth agencies. As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Training Support: Develop training, mentor new staff, and collaborate on statewide materials and guidance
- Policy Review: Evaluate policies annually to ensure consistency, accuracy, and statewide alignment
- Incident Oversight: Review reportable incidents, track documentation, and communicate trends for follow-up
- Case Coordination: Support complex case processes, gather data, and assist with statewide initiatives and special projects
- Agency Evaluation: Conduct surveys, complaint investigations, and reviews to assess program effectiveness and improve services
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial and program data, review reimbursement requests, and ensure that expenditures align with program goals

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
