Compensation: $70,000–$79,000 annually
A well-established label and packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Customer Service Account Manager for its Commack, New York operation.
This position manages complex customer accounts and serves as the primary point of contact between customers and internal manufacturing teams. You’ll coordinate closely with Production, Scheduling, Prepress, Quality, Finance, and Sales to ensure orders, specifications, timelines, and customer expectations are handled accurately from order entry through delivery.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with previous labels, printing, packaging, or manufacturing customer service experience who understands both the customer side and the operational side of getting jobs produced and delivered successfully.
What You’ll DoManage day-to-day relationships with assigned customer accounts.
Serve as the primary contact for orders, specifications, timelines, revisions, and customer requests.
Coordinate customer requirements with Production, Scheduling, Prepress, Quality, Finance, and Sales.
Manage complex orders, changing priorities, revisions, and customer escalations.
Track orders from placement through production and delivery.
Communicate production schedules, lead times, changes, and potential delays to customers.
Maintain accurate order documentation, specifications, pricing, and invoicing information.
Identify scheduling, production, quality, or delivery risks before they become larger customer issues.
Work with internal teams to resolve problems quickly and keep customer commitments on track.
Support key service metrics including on-time delivery, responsiveness, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Partner with Sales on new customer onboarding, account growth, and customer initiatives.
Participate in customer meetings and account reviews as needed.
Help improve internal communication, workflows, and customer service processes.
3–5+ years of Customer Service, Account Management, Sales Support, or similar experience.
Experience within labels, printing, packaging, converting, or manufacturing strongly preferred.
Experience managing complex or high-touch customer accounts.
Understanding of manufacturing workflows, production schedules, lead times, and order execution.
Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, orders, deadlines, and changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and drive them toward resolution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with specifications, pricing, order information, and documentation.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of customer issues.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ERP, order-management, or manufacturing systems.
Previous experience in the label and packaging industry.
Pressure-sensitive label experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with flexographic and digital printing.
Exposure to RFID, offset, lithographic, or other print technologies is a plus.
Experience working directly with production scheduling, prepress, quality, estimating, and sales teams.
Experience supporting demanding or complex customer accounts.
Experience working with customers in industries such as food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, medical device, or consumer products.
While this is not a production position, candidates should be comfortable working with technical print and manufacturing information, including:
Flexographic printing
Digital printing
Pressure-sensitive labels and packaging
Print specifications and customer requirements
Artwork, proofs, revisions, and prepress workflows
Production scheduling and manufacturing lead times
Quality requirements and print standards
Order entry and job tracking
ERP/order-management systems
Pricing, documentation, and invoicing
Experience with RFID/NFC, offset, or lithographic printing is beneficial but not required.
