Production Tech I

Role Responsibilities

• Operate converting and packaging equipment according to production orders, SOPs, GMP, and established parameters.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, parts installation, and adjustments.
• Monitor equipment and product quality; promptly report process, equipment, or safety issues.
• Verify materials, components, quantities, and production records for accuracy.
• Perform line clearance, cleaning, and contamination-prevention checks.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and partner with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following PPE, EHS, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Accurately document production and lot information in electronic systems and required records.
• Support material staging, lot changes, production transitions, and cross-shift communication.
• Train new technicians and provide support to production operators.
• Participate in process improvement, experiments, and Design of Experiments as needed.
• Support other shifts, production areas, and duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical or equipment-related experience.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency operating converting and packaging equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. occasionally and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated GMP manufacturing environment.
